Meet Joey! This sweet, affectionate boy is full of love and snuggles—he’ll happily soak up hugs, pets, and kisses. Joey is house-trained, knows a couple of tricks (sit and paw!), and has been a polite houseguest in foster care. He’s got plenty of energy for walks and outdoor time, though he can be a bit vocal when keeping an eye on the world from the window. Joey has done well meeting other dogs on walks and is happiest when he’s included in the action. With his goofy charm and love for snacks (especially cheese sticks!), Joey is ready to find his forever family.

Nehemiah’s name means “God is my comfort,” and it couldn’t suit him better. At around 2.5–3 years old, Nemo is gently relearning that the world can be a kind and safe place—and he’s doing beautifully.
Nemo is a true lovebug. Cuddling is his favorite pastime, and he’s happiest snuggled up on the bed with you all night, then following you from room to room during the day. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, is good with cats, and shares toys politely—even though he’s still figuring out what toys are. His favorite so far is Benebones.
He has no food aggression, and while he is timid around new people, he is never aggressive. Nemo will often curl up in a little ball next to you or quietly follow you for comfort. When people aren’t paying attention, he’ll gently try to sniff them, showing his curiosity and growing confidence.
Although he hasn’t been tested off-leash yet due to the lack of a fenced area, his foster believes he would likely have great recall and mostly just stick close by your side. Nemo is great in the car, though he prefers having a doggy friend along for extra comfort.
He enjoys spending time outside and is an easygoing, gentle companion who truly just wants to be close to his people. 💙

Thor is a young German Shepherd who just joined the CCR family, and we’re already so excited about this handsome boy’s journey. He’s dog friendly, has been cat tested and did well, and is both house trained and crate trained, a pretty great start for a new arrival!

Right now, Thor is extremely underweight, so our main focus will be helping him pack on some much-needed pounds, decompress, and truly flourish in his foster home. With some good food, love, and patience, we know this boy is going to shine

Pickles is a 6-month-old puppy who is settling in beautifully. He loves people, enjoys exploring, and is happiest when he’s with his humans. He’s doing great in his crate with no accidents so far and is learning quickly!!
Pickles loves all toys and walks fairly well on leash but will need continued work on manners both in the house and on walks. He’s been around a cat and shows mixed reactions—sometimes curious, sometimes indifferent and is good with other dogs.
